Sonic and Knuckles, part 2 of
Sonic 3! This game is a favorite of many! And with good reason. Read ahead...
STORY - 9/10:
...Picking up after Sonic 3, Sonic continued to try to thwart my Death Egg
plans as Knuckles was still helping me keep Sonic away! In the end, I stole
the Master Emerald and took off in the Death Egg! Sonic followed me and defeated
me, whereas Knuckles battled Mechanical Sonic(his name varies in America,
but that's his Japanese name)!
GAMEPLAY - 7/10: All the game really had going was the 2-part adventure,
as you could be either Sonic or Knuckles. There was no save mode, no 2-player
modes... It was sorta lacking in that department. However, there was a redeemable
quality, in that it could lock on with Sonic 2 or Sonic 3, and you could play
through Sonic 2 as Knuckles, or play the COMPLETE story of my Angel Island
attack!
SOUND - 7/10: Eh...It was...okay. Not good, not bad... Most of the
music in this game was sorta bland in my opinion. Still, nothing sounded bad,
so I graded it fairly.
GRAPHICS - 8/10: For the most part, it was the same as Sonic 3's.
REPLAY
VALUE - 6/10: The 2-story modes added a bit to this category, but with
the exception of the end of the game, there are a small few differences between
Sonic's and Knuckles's stories.
AMOUNT OF EGGMAN - 9/10: I rocked in this game. I had my Death Egg, I
tricked Knuckles, stole the Master Emerald... This game focused a great deal
on my evil schemes.
OVERALL - 7/10: It's a good game! You should get it, definetely.
CHANGES FROM JAPAN TO AMERICA: My name, Eggman, was changed to Robotnik!
I'm shocked, really! The Badniks had their names changed in this game too.
And, the manual said I "roboticized" animals in the American version,
though it clearly doesn't in the Japanese version. The American manual also
says the game is on Mobius, though in Japan it is not.
This one's finished! Leave!
