Alas, the Empire is Changing Tony July 20, 2009

Hello, everyone. Doing well, I hope? Awesome. As you can see, the updates pretty much, er... dried up for a spell, and there are numerous reasons behind this, actually. Real life has gotten in the way for the entire staff, Chris, the founder, has moved on, as well as Ishnt, the lot of us have schooling to worry about, and our interest in the Sonic series as a whole has gone down to a more... casual affair. Eggman's one of our favorite villains, make no mistake, but... the will to run a -website- about him, we just don't have that kind of drive anymore. Life has moved on for all of us, and we all have our own ambitions that we wish to fulfill.

However, this isn't to say that the Empire is closing down or anything. Hardly! We're merely giving the keys to a couple of folks that we know and trust, who we believe will keep things going in our stead. Are we, ourselves, gone forever? Well, no. You'll still see us from time to time in the forums, but the majority of the sitework here will be handled by those who wish to be called Yusuke and Thirteen. Give them a welcoming several pats on the back, and a round of applause, perhaps some coffee, and enjoy their company. They will do the website justice, I'm certain.

I do apologize to those who have stayed with us for so long, but understandably, new chapters are opening in our lives, and we've got to take them by the helm, and move onward! So, we'll kindly let you know on the forum what we've been up to once things get rolling. But, for now, sit back, and expect more activity to come about from the new leadership. And remember; A website can always use some helpful aid from the community! Get stories together! Rock the world with some fanart! Get some sprites-a rollin'! Help eachother out, and give the Empire a healthy shine!

But, for now, Yusuke and Thirteen will handle the general groundwork, so... welcome, guys! Thanks for helping us out, and good luck with everything. I now turn things over to you!

The rest of you have been swell. Thanks, from all of us, for continuing to support the Eggman Empire! Rock on, fellows and gals, rock on.

Apologies for Lack of Updates Recently. Tony March 30, 2009

Yeah, I'm aware that the updates have kinda slowed down again. Things got pretty busy on this end, and I haven't really gotten anything to update with. Black Knight didn't really have anything Eggman related with it, there's no new developments on games involving him, and the only thing I really have time to get around to is merchandise-related things.

I know I promised that interview, but I haven't received word on how things were going with getting that sound file put together. I'll letcha folks know when things develop further.

Don't be afraid to send any fanstuff to my email, TonyCaline@gmail.com! I'll be more than happy to update any fan sections with artwork, flash movies, written documents, sprite art, or even official sprite sheets of Eggman period! Content is good, yes? Don't be shy, now! :o

On that note, there are some sections that could use some updating, so in coming weeks, when I have time, I'll be doing my best to tend to those at some point.

But, yeah. There will be more stuff happening at the Empire, things just got hectic on this end, so... I apologize once again! Thank you for being patient.

Thanks to some help from a friend of mine, not only have I updated a better picture of the Eggman plush from Sonic the Fighters, but we have four new merchandise additions period! Definitely go take a look.

In other news, regarding the interview with Pollock that had been conducted recently at Neo South Island is being delayed from actual updateage, and the reason behind it is in regards to the audio itself, so it'll probably be a little while. But not to worry, we'll have something to show in the end. Keep your chins up!

Big news! More Playable Eggman in the Future! Tony February 12, 2009

It was rumored recently that the big brains at Nintendo and Sega were concocting a second round for the Olympic Games for choice-favorites Mario and Sonic. Well, this week, that rumor was proved to be quite correct, as a short trailer for the game showcases four of the characters from the roster, with Dr. Eggman being one of them! Yes, it seems that the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games are soon to be in full-swing, and our Doctor has been chosen as one of the participants once more! Go take a look at the article. More Eggman Images! Rejoice! Tony February 5, 2009

With a great thank-you to forum goer "The Great Dr. Eggman", we now have four new images added to our growing collection of Eggman images. The images in question were two from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, as well as another one from Sega Superstars Tennis. And, though technically not actual -concept art-, I think it still counts; Dr. Eggman's trophy from Super Smash Bros. Brawl! Enjoy, and see ya next update!

We have a new partner in crime, folks. Please give a warm welcome to Sonic HD, a growing community with a wiki of Sonic info in the making. Be sure to drop by, take a look, and perhaps mingle with the community!

Also, it's a little unfortunate, but I had to clean out some of the links in the Eggfiliates list, as about five of them were dead links. If the sites in question return, or moved and I wasn't aware of it, please email me at TonyCaline@gmail.com and let me know, and I will be sure to re-add the site to the list.

The sites in question were Dr. Eggman's Base, Chao World, True Blue, and Destination Sonic. (Sonic United is exempt from this list, because being in close contact with the one who ran the page, I know for sure that it -is- gone for good.)
