I tried using Gamemaker, couldn't figure it out.

This looks very good, though. Keep up the good work.

Joshbotnik, you could always give http://www.scirra.com/ Construct a shot. Simpler than Game Maker, more powerful than Multimedia Fusion. Currently at 0.98.4.

Uh oh! It seems Doctor Eggman has encountered a problem! These pesky blocks are getting in the way. He's too tall to fit under them...

...nah, just kidding, that was a dud. Surely the one and only Doctor Eggman wouldn't tediously leap overtop of these troublesome blocks, would he?

Any potential for a release or update on this?

Using Damizean's stuff as a base? I'm quite impressed with the Sonic Worlds engine for MMF2, for example.

I don't think this was being made using Dami's stuff as a base, I think Yusuke custom did this one. Of course, he'd have to tell you himself since I don't exactly know.
