“On today’s top story. G.U.N., the world’s strongest military organization, was completely destroyed last night. So far, no evidence has been found to find out who the suspects were that caused the destruction. The investigators are still looking through the destroyed headquarters to find any clue that could help them. Stay tuned for more news after this.”

Sonic closed his eyes and crossed his arms.

“Why do I get the feeling that egghead was behind it,” Sonic said.

“Eggman is the only one we know that can pack that much firepower,” said Tails, “but he couldn’t have done it alone. Somebody had to help him out.”

“Then if that’s the case, I wonder who helped him.”

Sonic’s concentration was suddenly broken when he felt something squeezing him tightly. He quickly opened his eyes to see Amy hugging him. He tried to say something but Amy’s hug made him lose his breath.

“Oh, Sonikku,” Amy said happily. “I finally found you. You shouldn’t have left me like that.”

“Uh, Amy,” said Tails. “Sonic’s face is turning into its own color of blue.”

Amy realized what was happening and released her hold on Sonic.

“Sorry, Sonic. I just got a little carried away.”

“You call that little!” Sonic shouted, trying to catch his breath. “Those hugs of yours can really choke a person to death.”

“You’re so mean.” Then Amy noticed Shadow walking on the sidewalk across from them. “Hey, look. It’s Shadow.”

Sonic turned around and was surprised to see Shadow. “Whoa. I can’t believe that fake hedgehog would actually be walking around here in the daytime.”

Sonic, Tails and Amy walked over to where Shadow was.

“Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to step out into the light,” said Sonic.

Shadow turned around and saw the three standing there.

“What do you want, faker?” Shadow asked.

Sonic clenched his fist. “Grrrr! Will you stop calling me that! I have a name you know.”

“Ok, Sonic.”

“That’s better.”

“But you’re still the fake hedgehog around here.”

“We’ll see about that.” Sonic got into a racing position. “We race around Station Square to see who the true faker is.”

“A race, huh? Well, it has been awhile since I raced anybody. This’ll be a good chance to humiliate you again.”

The race began as Sonic and Shadow sped through the streets, leaving Tails and Amy in the dust.

“Those two,” said Tails, shaking his head.

In Eggman’s base, Dr. Eggman was sitting in his chair, thinking of his next phase to destroy Station Square and take over the world.

“I must get the three remaining Chaos Emeralds that are in Sonic and Tails’ home, but the question is how. There must be a way to lure that blue pest and that fox boy away from there.”

As Eggman was still thinking, Metal Sonic came in, holding a flyer.

“Master,” said Metal Sonic.

“What is it Metal?” Eggman asked, a little frustrated now. “Can’t you see that I’m thinking over here?”

“Sorry to disturb you but I found this flyer and I was wondering if you were interested in it.”

“What’s the flyer about?”

“It’s about this new theme park called “Seven Flags”. The flyer says that this new extreme theme park is gonna give Twinkle Park a run for its money.”

“Let me see that.”

Metal Sonic handed Eggman the flyer and got a closer look at it. Eggman rubbed his chin as an idea came into his mind.

“This makes the plan a whole lot easier. This is what I’ll use to lure Sonic and Tails out of their home. And while they’re out, you will sneak in and steal the Chaos Emeralds.”

“Sounds great, master, but why would you buy the tickets for them?”

“Who said I was buying them? I’m simply gonna make them myself.” Dr. Eggman turned on the computer screen and started typing. “All I have to do is hack into their database, find out what their tickets look like, make six of them, and give them to someone that wouldn’t expect that they are counterfeit.”

As the tickets were being made, Eggman took this time to look at the status of his Eclipse Cannon as well as another new weapon.

“Let’s see. The construction for my other new weapon is almost complete while the current status of my cannon is 75 percent.” Eggman looked at the computer as the six tickets were made. Then he pressed a button, which showed screens of the entire town of Station Square. “Now, who can I give these to?” Then Eggman spotted Amy walking along the sidewalk. “That’s it! Amy will be the one. Metal, make sure the construction of my two weapons are complete when I get back.”

“Yes, master.”

Eggman loaded up in his Egg Walker and took off.

“That Sonic,” said Amy as she walked to the park. “He always has to race against someone to prove that he’s the fastest thing alive.”

As she entered the park, Amy heard someone sobbing. When she looked around, Amy notices Dr. Eggman sitting on the park bench with his hands on his face and faking his crying.

“Dr. Eggman, what’s wrong?” Amy asked concerned.

“Oh, Amy, it’s just terrible,” said Eggman. “You know about that new theme park, Seven Flags?”

“Yeah. I’ve been trying to get tickets for it but no luck so far.”

“Well, when I got the ticket that I needed, they accidentally gave me six more. I don’t know what to do with them.”

Eggman continued to sob as Amy came up with an idea.

“I’ll be glad to take them off your hands.”

“Really? You would do that for me?”

“Of course. It’s the least I can do since you helped us out so much.”

Eggman handed Amy the counterfeit tickets while hiding his evil smile.

“Thank you, Miss Rose. You’ll never know how much this means to me. Well, I would like to talk to you more, but I have to get going.”

Eggman waved goodbye to Amy as he left.

“Wow. Talk about killing two birds with one stone. Not only did I help Dr. Eggman, I got the tickets that I needed. This’ll be a great opportunity to get Sonic to go with me and hopefully I can enjoy a romantic night with my Sonikku.”

As Amy was leaving the park, she didn’t notice that someone was watching her.

“Bwahahaha! She took my bait,” said Eggman as the Egg Walker came out of the bushes. “That pink pest is more idiotic than I realized. It won’t be too long until Sonic takes my bait as well and then, those three Chaos Emeralds will be mine!”

Tails was still standing at the exact same place as Sonic and Shadow left him on their race, waiting for them to return. Sonic and Shadow finally came back as they rushed by Tails.

“Ultimate victory,” Shadow said proudly.

“I’m glad you agree that I had the victory, Shadow,” said Sonic.

“What are you talking about, faker? You and me both know that I was the victor of that race.”

“In your dreams, Shad. If anyone’s the victor, it’s me.”

“You’re just upset because you got beaten by the Ultimate Life Form. So, why don’t you admit it.”

“I won’t admit it because I’m the one that won it.”

“This is getting us nowhere.”

“Then, we’ll settle it. Hey Tails!”

“Yes, Sonic,” said Tails as he approached the two hedgehogs.

“You were there, so be honest, who won the race between me and Shad?”

“Um, to be honest, I couldn’t tell who won. You guys ran by me so fast, I couldn’t keep up.”

“Oh great,” said Sonic, slapping his forehead. “Could this day get any worse?”

“I knew I would find you here, Sonikku,” said Amy.

“I just had to ask th…ack!”

Sonic was cut off when Amy gave him one of her bear hugs. After she released her hug, Amy looked at Tails and Shadow.

“Don’t you hug me,” said Tails as he backed away as did Shadow.

“You guys can be so cruel sometimes,” said Amy.

“What do you want?” asked Shadow.

“I came here to see if you guys would be interested to go with me to the new theme park.”

“You mean Seven Flags?” asked Tails. Amy nodded and showed them the tickets. “Wow! All the tickets to that place are sold out. You must’ve gone a lot of trouble to get them.”

“Not really. Dr. Eggman gave them to me.”

“Dr. Eggman? Well, that was nice of him. Nice, but weird.”

“I’ve never heard of this Seven Flags before,” said Sonic. “Is it any good?”

“I’ve heard that it has every ride you can think of,” Tails replied. “I’ve also heard that they have this ride called “The Hurl-O-Whirl” that’s really fast. Even faster than you, Sonic.”

“Faster than me? Ha! Nothing’s faster than me.”

“Except for me,” said Shadow.

“Shut up!”

“So, any of you guys interested?” asked Amy.

“You bet I’ll come,” said Sonic. “Any theme park that has this kind of speed is surely worth going to.”

“They’ll probably have a lot of cool games to play, so I’ll come too,” said Tails.

Sonic, Tails and Amy looked at Shadow, who simply snorted.

“After all the things I’ve been through, I could use some fun, so I’ll come,” said Shadow.

“Great,” said Amy. “Here are your tickets. Be careful not to lose them. Well, I’ll see you guys at the entrance once I get there.”

“Where are you going?” asked Sonic.

“I have to give the remaining two tickets to Knuckles and Rouge.”

“Wow, Amy, this theme park sounds great,” said Rouge.

“So, do you accept my offer?” Amy asked.

“Count me in. This‘ll be better than watching that Master Emerald all day.”

“Here’s your ticket and here’s one for Knuckles; if you can get him to come.”

“I’ll try but I won’t promise you that he’ll come.”

As Amy left, Rouge went back to the Master Emerald Shrine where Knuckles was standing there, guarding the Master Emerald.

“I’ve got great news, Knuckles,” said Rouge. “Amy invited us over to the Seven Flags theme park. She even got us two tickets. Do you wanna go?”

“I wish I could,” said Knuckles, “but you’re asking the wrong guy. I can’t leave the Master Emerald unguarded. Who knows what kind of evil is out there, waiting to get their hands on it. I can’t let that happen.”

“I’m sure Tikal and Chaos can watch over it while we’re away.”

“I couldn’t do that. That would be selfish of me.”

“Listen, Knuckles, things like this come once in a lifetime. You should get out and enjoy it more often like I do. It wouldn’t hurt to do this once in a while.”

“Well, ok. I guess it wouldn’t hurt if I went out for a while.”

“Now that’s more like it.”

“But won’t we be late getting there.”

“Not if we take my way of getting there.”

“You don’t mean we’re taking your car.”

“And just what’s wrong with my car?”

“It’s not the car, it’s the way you drive.”

“Oh, come on. I can’t be that bad.”

“You kidding me? The town has considered you a dangerous road hazard. More dangerous than Sonic.”

“Oh shut up and let’s go. Besides, it’ll be quicker to get there.”

Amy, Sonic, Tails, and Shadow were standing at the front entrance of Seven Flags, waiting for the arrival of Knuckles and Rouge.

“Sheesh. Where can those two be?” said Sonic as he was tapping his foot on the ground. “They should’ve been here by now.”

Screeching tires were heard as the group saw a white convertible quickly approaching the parking lot.

“Rouge! Watch out for that car!” shouted Knuckles.

Rouge swerved out of the way as a green truck was backing out. She swerved her convertible again as it made a screeching halt on a parking space.

“See? I told you we would get here quicker if we took my car,” said Rouge. “You had nothing to worry about.”

Rouge made her way over to the entrance as Knuckles was wobbly getting there.

“Glad you guys could make it,” said Sonic. “Now let’s get out there and enjoy ourselves!” The group made their way inside but Sonic looked back to see Knuckles sitting on a bench. “Hey, Knux, you coming?”

“I’m coming as soon as I get my heart back,” Knuckles replied.

As the group was inside, they didn’t know that they were being watched by an evil mad scientist.

“Bwahahahaha!” Eggman laughed. “Everything is going according to plan.”

“Now’s our time to attack, master,” said Metal Sonic.

“Patience, Metal. We’ll attack soon when the time’s right.” Then he looked back at the screen showing the entire Seven Flags theme park. “Enjoy your moment of fun while you can, hedgehog, because it’ll be your last.”
