Badnik Encyclopedia I-R

First attack/South Island = Sonic the Hedgehog
Second attack/Little Planet = Sonic CD
Third attack/Westside Island = Sonic the Hedgehog 2
First half of attack on Angel Island = Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Second half of attack on Angel Island = Sonic and Knuckles

Jaws: Can you say "cannon fodder", boys and girls? These piranha based Badniks not only swam VERY slowly... They also couldn't go up or down! Not only that, but they were often placed in areas where Sonic would or could not get hit by them unless being INCREDIBLY careless! I think I was hoping for platforms to rise him up into these things, but it's hard to say... They could've just been a bad idea. Anyway, I made them during my attack on South Island, placed them in Labyrinth Zone.

Jawz:
Useless as Balkiry, these guys... They flew towards Sonic and his friends, not really making any attempts to hit them... Just, flew straight. Shark based, as you can see and guess... It didn't do too well, as it couldn't move much, and had pretty much no defense. Created during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and used in the Hydrocity Zone.

Madmole: Muahaha! This Badnik was actually quite funny... It would come out of a hole in the ground, throw a mushroom at the heroes, go back down, get another one, and repeat! The mushrooms would knock Sonic and his friends back, which was the funny part... It was fairly easy to destroy, being non-lethal, but it was funny! Muahaha... Anyway, made during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, and used in the Mushroom Hill Zone.

Mantis:
Hm, I'd say this is more of a grasshopper than a mantis... But then, calling it "Grasshopper" would be even less original. Anyway, it wasn't really that deadly. It just jumped up and down, not really paying any regard to the heroes... It was placed in the Marble Garden Zone, in the first half of my attack on Angel Island.

Masher:
Meh, basically just see Chopper... In fact, I think I may have just given some leftover Choppers a new paintjob and a new name, and called it good! Bah. The only difference was that they didn't necessarily have to be under a bridge. Created during my attack on Westside Island, and used in the Emerald Hill Zone.

Mecha Sonic: Heheh, this Metal Sonic imposter seems to have set a trend! Impresonating ME, the great Dr. Eggman! Of course, this one was much better at it than Metal... HE didn't have to go so far as to lock me in prison while he did it. Anyway, this robot would immitate some of my attack patterns, from my first and third attack, then immitated Silver Sonic... to an extent. His attack pattern was a bit better and faster, though. Unfortunately, Sonic destroyed him in the Sky Sanctuary Zone, during the second half, and near completion, of my Angel Island attack. What a shame... If he hadn't, it might have risen to the ranks of Metal Sonic... ...well, probably not, 'cause he wasn't stronger and faster than Sonic, but oh well...

Mega Chopper: There's really nothing "mega" about this Badnik... It's quite small, in fact. It was a great Badnik, though! It would latch on to Sonic or his friends, and begin draining their rings, one by one... During this time, they couldn't jump or spin dash! And once they ran out of rings, they would almost certainly die! They were, unfortunately, fairly easy to destroy when they didn't latch on to them, though. I made them during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and placed them in the Hydrocity Zone.

Metal Sonic: Ah! This... this is one of my great creations... In fact, the greatest of all my creations. He was a fiercly loyal Badnik, and one that is better than Sonic in most every way... Note, however, the past tense on "was a fiercly loyal Badnik". He, unfortunately, turned traitorous and locked me in a prison while he took the task of killing Sonic into his own hands... I am deeply disappointed in him, but I can't bring myself to hate him. I first used him during my attack on Little Planet.

Monkey Dude: ...I want to say I didn't name this Badnik. I really REALLY want to say so. But, unfortunately, I've no one else to place the blame on. Basically just an upgrade or remake of Coconuts... It threw coconuts at the heroes as they passed... Yep, that's about all to say about it. I dunno what I was thinking... The idea failed once, I'll just go and try it again, without ANY modifications whatsoever! I created it during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and put them in the Angel Island Zone.

Motobug: This is a very special Badnik, in my oppinion, as it is the first one that Sonic met up with, during my first attack on South Island. Not the best of Badniks... But still, being the first one Sonic would see, a special one. It would roll toward Sonic, trying to swipe at him with its pincers... which barely left the body, so it didn't work too well. Oh well... Created during my attack on South Island, placed in the Green Hill Zone...

Mushmeanie:
A pretty useless Badnik... It was based on a mushroom. It would hop around, trying to hit the heroes, and not do too well at it. When first attacked, that mushroom top would come off, and it would hop around some more, and soon after, probably get destroyed. I made it during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, and placed it in the Mushroom Hill Zone.

Nebula:
The first of a fairly effective design... It was, at the time, near foolproof. Spikes all around it, it was impossible for the hedgehog to hit it without getting hurt himself... And even then, he would need to attack immediately after being hurt! Of course, Sonic could just run past these guys... Grah! I hate him! Created during my first attack, on South Island, and used in the Star Light Zone.

Nebula: Not the same as the last one... It was worse. FAR worse. Pretty much a useless Badnik. It just kinda, floated upward when it saw Sonic and Tails coming, and then, if they were stupid enough to fly under it, it'd drop some spiked balls on them... I figure, for every so many Badniks I make, I make a completely useless and idiotic one. Anyway, this was used in the Sky Chase Zone, right before my Wing Fortress base, in my attack on Westside Island.

Newtron:
A chameleon based Badnik... Now this is one of my coolest ones, I think. It could just appear out of nowhere! It came in two varieties: green and blue. The green ones would appear, fire a blast at the hedgehog, and disappear if it wasn't destroyed before then. The blue one would appear, drop, and fly after Sonic itself. It was made during my attack on South Island, and was used in the Green Hill Zone.

Octus:
This one wasn't too good... An octopus based one. It would float up a bit, then shoot balls of energy at Sonic and Tails. The problem was, it was incredibly slow, and had fairly bad aim. By the time it fired, they were usually long gone. Used in the Oil Ocean Zone, during my attack on Westside Island.

Orbinaut: Hm, now this Badnik was a strange one... When it saw the heroes, it would move toward them for every step they took. As you can see, it's completely covered in spikes, making it completely invulnerable! ...Or that was the plan. Sonic had some strange shield thing that he could activate for a split second, allowing him to attack enemies without touching them. Oh well... Made during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and placed in the Launch Base Zone.

Penguinator:
Sonic and his friends are heartless fiends for destroying this Badnik! All it did was waddle around, back and forth, then slide around on its stomach. Sure, sometimes it would crash into them, but who's to say that wasn't an accident? It could've just been having fun, then the "heroes" come along and kill it! Bah... Was made during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and was used in the Ice Cap Zone.

Pointdexter: Muahahaha! A blowfish type Badnik, this one is.... It would float around, then puff up, the spikes around its body. During this time, it would hurt the heroes to attack the Badnik. Of course, it couldn't stay in this state forever, or very long in fact. Not only that, but there were still vulnerablilities while the spikes were out. I used it in the Hydrocity Zone, during the first half of my attack on Angel Island.

Rexon: This one was weird... It moved its neck back and forth, ocasionally shooting balls of fire at Sonic and Tails. I placed them all in pools of lava, and I think that's where it got its fireballs. When it was defeated, its neck would fall to pieces, but the bottom part would stay there... I made them during my attack on Westside Island, and used them in the Hill Top Zone.

Rhinobot:
Ha, this one was kinda cool... It would roll around back and forth a bit, then, when it saw Sonic or his friends, dash at them quickly! Though not quick enough, unfortunately... It could easily be jumped over, and destroyed. I used it during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and placed it in the Angel Island Zone.

Ribot: Muahaha! A strange one, I won't deny that, but a fairly good one... A bit like my Eggmobile, in the sense that it had different attatchments it could use on the hedgehog. Basically a lot of blunt objects to hit him with, though each one only had one... I used it during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and placed it in the Launch Base Zone.

Roller: Ooh hoo hoo! Now THIS was a great Badnik. I can't remember exactly what it's based on, maybe an armadillo or something... I think it was my first attempt at a Sonic-like robot, before I got the idea for a METAL Sonic! Duh... Well, I can't really remember if that's true. It was a long time ago, and the rolling seemed a pretty Sonic-y thing to do, so I just made that conclusion... I think I'd do something like that. Anyway, Sonic had some trouble with this one sometimes! I remember watching him lose his rings, cursing, as he needed them to get the Chaos Emeralds... Yeah, appeared during my first attack on South Island, in Spring Yard Zone.
