Badnik Encyclopedia A-H

First attack/South Island = Sonic the Hedgehog
Second attack/Little Planet = Sonic CD
Third attack/Westside Island = Sonic the Hedgehog 2
First half of attack on Angel Island = Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Second half of attack on Angel Island = Sonic and Knuckles

Aquis: A Badnik modelled after a seahorse, which I made during my third big attack on Westside Island. I designed it to fire blasts of energy at the hedgehog in Oil Ocean Zone. Unfortunately, as always, Sonic was too fast for these attacks, and was able to quickly destroy them.

Asternon:
A star-type robot... I think, as my theme was animals at the time, however, that this was supposed to be modelled after a starfish. I created it during my attack on Westside Island. It was used to guard what I was using as one of my bases, the Metropolis Zone. It would float toward Sonic and Tails, and explode, sending spines at them. Brilliant in concept, if it wasn't for the fact that they were usually too fast, and the robots couldn't fire again...

Balkiry:
Ah, this Badnik was designed after some type of bird... Basically, it just floated by, hoping to hit Sonic and Tails as they flew by in the Tornado... Bah, not one of my best works.... could've used a bit more AI programming. Another one that I created during my attack on Westside Island, and was used to guard my flying Wing Fortress base, from the Sky Chase Zone.

Ball Hog: Er... I don't know exactly WHAT I was thinking when I made this one... I suppose that, since Sonic hadn't really had to use much strength to stop me before this time (it was my first big attack, on South Island), that I underestimated his true speed. This thing fired slow metal balls at Sonic from a compartment in its stomach. It was used to protect my Scrap Brain Zone fortress.

Bat Brain: Another one made during my first attack. This one was fairly simple, yet good in concept... It'd wait until Sonic was coming past, then swoop down in an attempt to hit the hedgehog. Alas, Sonic was able to dodge these Badniks. Again, they were made during my first attack, and were placed in the Marble Zone.

Batbot: Another bat based Badnik... This one was made in the first half of my attack on the Angel Island. It was placed in the Carnival Night Zone, and would use the lightbulb on the bottom to shoot bolts of electricity at my enemies. It's a waste of space to mention that they could dodge the attacks.

Blaster: Hum... Some sorta... tank type Badnik... Maybe modelled after some kinda bug? I'm not sure, myself... I made it during my attack on Angel Island. Or, rather, the second half of my attack on Angel Island. It would shoot at Sonic, but... Do I really need to say? Positioned in Flying Battery Zone.

Blastoid: Hmmmm, this is a normal Badnik... Modelled after a turtle, maybe? I used it during the first half of my third attack. Not only could Sonic dodge this guy's attacks, but he could just repel the attacks with his bubble shield! Grah! I hate him! I used these in Hydrocity Zone.

Blastoid:
Not the same as the other Blastoid... I'm a bit bad at picking out names, see, but let's see YOU continue to come up with original names while you make hundreds and hundreds of robots! Anyway, I made this during the first half of my attack on Angel Island. They were placed in the Carnival Night Zone. When the heroes came by, they'd flash down in a burst of energy! Unfortunately, the teleportation took too much time to charge up, and the heroes were usually gone by the time they got down.

Bloominator:
.........This has to be one of my worst ideas ever. What use does a Badnik modelled after a frickin' flower have? Not much, especially when its attacks can be repelled by shields... I made it during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, in the Angel Island Zone. ...And I'M bad at thinking up names?

Bubbles:
Well, what have we here... Some type of floating seahorse... blowfish... Badnik... ...thing... I must have been drunk. Anyway, it would float around, with its spikes going in and out of its body. Hahaha, the plan was to lure Sonic and his little friends into a sense of security, get them to attack, and then deploy the spikes! ...didn't quite work out that way, though. I used it in Hydrocity Zone during the first half of my attack on Angel Island.

Buggernaut: I modelled THIS Badnik after a fly, I believe. It's certainly about as useful as one! Bah, this metal moron just flew around... Almost completely harmless to those idiot heroes! *Sigh.* I made them during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and positioned them in the Hydrocity Zone.

Burrobot:
Ah... This one... Less known than my Grounder, but it's a good Badnik. It would pop out of the ground in an attempt to surprise Sonic. I made it during my attack on South Island... Put it in the Labyrinth Zone. Despite its failure, I liked the design, so I made Grounder based on it.

Butterdroid: Another design failure... This one based off a butterfly. I mean, of all my useless Badniks, this one takes the cake! It'd be hard to get hit by these things if the heroes TRIED! Oh well... Made during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, and positioned in the Mushroom Hill Zone.

BuzzBomber: Another design I rather liked... Based off a bee. This one would fly at Sonic, shoot at him, then retreat. Sonic was, unfortunately, fast enough to run after them and destroy them... Not to mention dodging the attacks. Made during my first attack on South Island, and placed in Green Hill Zone. Sort of the reverse of Grounder/Burrobot, the BuzzBomber is more popular than the Buzzer.

Buzzer:
Ha, this one's basically the same as BuzzBomber... Dunno if I should even bother with an entry. I made it during my third attack, on Westside Island, and positioned it in Emerald Hill Zone.

Catterkiller: Another one of my more famous Badniks. As would be expected, it's based off a caterpiller. It would crawl around, and, ooh, this is the best part... Sonic could only hurt it in the head! If he hit the body, not only would he be hurt by the spikes, but it'd explode into pieces and bounce around, with dangerous spikes flying everywhere! Ooh hoo hoooo! I thought this would take care of the hedgehog, but I was unfortunately wrong. I made them during my first attack, on South Island, and placed them in the Marble Zone.

Catterkiller Jr.: Ah huh... Trying to cash in on the success of Catterkiller, I made a newer model one, that was supposed to be better. It didn't exactly work out that way. Bah... It would float around, in thin air, which was pretty cool, trying to kill the heroes, and ocasionally send a bolt of electricity through its body. How could such a plan fail? Maybe if Sonic attacked while he WASN'T using the electricity! Why do I always set it up so Sonic can win? Anyway, first half of attack on Angel Island, positioned in Angel Island Zone.

Chainspike: A truly brilliant design... THIS Badnik was covered in spikes on all sides! The spikes would come out, trying to hit the heroes, then go back in almost immediately. But, the Badnik would still be protected by the other spikes! Simply genius... Hmm, but Sonic could simply get Tails to jump into the spikes to destroy it... Bah! Some friend... It was made during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, and it was used to guard my Death Egg Zone.

Chop Chop: Just one of my many piranha based Badniks. Actually, this one was a bit better than the others... When it saw the heroes coming, it would rush at them, while normally staying idle. Somewhat better AI than the others, in this respect... In my oppinion, one of my better ideas. I placed them in Aquatic Ruin Zone, during my third attack, on Westside Island.

Chopper:
Ah, this one... Meh... It's OK.... Based off a piranha, I believe. It couldn't really hurt Sonic too well, unfortunately. It was too slow and predictable. It would jump out from under a bridge, trying to bite at Sonic. Not one of the best, but for some reason I made another model... Oh well. I used it in the Green Hill Zone, in my first attack, on South Island.

Clamer:
Gahaha, another one of those insanely designed Badniks... This one was more for an element of surprise though, I think... A clam based Badnik, as should be blatantly obvious. Hmmm, this one's good, but not as good as my Crawl Badnik. It could repel the heroes' attacks from above, and could shoot a cannon from its front which shot spiked balls! Didn't see THAT coming, now did you? Anyway, this could unfortunately be spun into from either side besides the top, thus destroying it. It was created during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and was placed in the Carnival Night Zone.

Clucker:
Ah! Clucker! A symbol of braveness and loyalty to the Eggman Empire! He would not run when he saw those heroes getting near... He wouldn't even move! No, he would stand his ground, firing at the heroes, despite imminent destruction! Ah, this kind of loyalty brings a tear to my eye... Anyway, chicken based. I am Eggman after all, you'd expect me to have a few of these... He fired at enemies with that cannon there. I made them during my attack on Westside Island, and used them in my Wing Fortress Zone.

Cluckoid: An... interesting Badnik. This one didn't actually TRY to hurt Sonic or his friends... It just blew them away. I think I intended it to blow them to their death, into some other Badniks, or a bottomless pit, or something, but it didn't quite work out that way. Was a bit of an annoyance for the heroes, though. Used during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, in the Mushroom Hill Zone.

Coconuts: This one, like Grounder, appeared in the TV show "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog". I suppose he was portrayed SLIGHTLY more accurately, but they could've made it better. Meh, I guess people didn't really care about what REALLY happened when a genius madman tried to take over the planet... I mean, they made me make him a janitor! Sheesh... Anyway, this one would wait in a tree, and whenever Sonic or Tails would come by, he'd throw, surprise surprise: COCONUTS at them! But anyway, he was made during my attack on Westside Island, and was placed in the Emerald Hill Zone.

Corkey: More proof that I can still design robots while drunk, or otherwise under the influence of some drug. This one was based on a cork. Yes. A cork. It would walk around, in an attempt to push the heroes off the ledges, or into walls. It would never hurt them ITSELF, it'd just push them to their deaths. Or try to, anyway, but it was unfortunately easily defeated with a spin dash. Made during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, in the Sandopolis Zone.

Crabmeat:
You know, this was a bit of a strange one... I liked it, though. It's crab based, in case you're stupid. It walked right and left, sideways, of course, and ocasionally would stop to charge up and shoot a blast of energy at Sonic! Muahahaha! Bah, but the charging took too long, and I underestimated Sonic... Made during my attack on South Island, placed in Green Hill Zone.

Crawl:
OK, I don't know what I was on when I designed this one, but it certainly didn't dull my brilliance! THIS is one of my greatest creations! Well, when it comes to this bunch of bumbling morons, anyway. I have no clue what it was supposed to be based on, but it's genius... It walked very slowly, but that's OK, it was almost invulnerable! When Sonic would try to hit its head, it would point its shield up, bouncing him off! When Sonic tried to spin dash at its front, it would use its shield toward Sonic, bouncing him off! However, the fatal flaw was that he couldn't use the shield from the back. It was used during the Westside Island attack, and was placed in Casino Night Zone.

Crawlton:
Great one in concept, but didn't work out quite too well. I guess I accidentally programmed in some of my overconfidence, as well as a semi-good AI. Well, at least better than most Badniks. It's based on some kind of worm... Anyway, whenever it would see Sonic or Tails come by, it'd lunge at them! However, when close, it would go slowly, and when far away, it would go quickly. This, of course, gave them time to dodge... Made during the attack on Westside Island, and placed in the Mystic Caves Zone.

Dragonfly:
This Badnik was based on, gasp, shock, a DRAGONFLY! It just kinda floated up and down. It wasn't really too good at hurting the heroes, actually... It was made during the second half of my attack on Angel Island, and placed in the Mushroom Hill Zone.

Egg Robo:
Ahhhh, Egg Robo... Quite a useful invention. See, during my attack on Angel Island, I had convinced Knuckles that I was there to help, and that Sonic had stolen the Chaos Emeralds... Speaking of which, I wonder what happened... The original set of Chaos Emeralds disappeared... Did they combine with the Angel Island's set? Did they... ...ah, I'm rambling. Anyway, yes, I was trying to keep undercover. So, instead of going myself, I sent this one out to impede Knuckles' progress. It worked fairly well. I used some of them in the Sky Sanctuary Zone, too, but they were far weaker. As you SHOULD expect, made on my attack on Angel Island. Second half.

Fireworm: Hm, I have quite a lot of worm type Badniks... As is common in them, this one was only vulnerable at the head, as it had spikes and fire protecting everywhere else. However, the one weakness made it easy to destroy... Made for my attack on Angel Island, second half, and placed in the Lava Reef Zone.

Flasher: Now THIS is a cool little Badnik! It's based off a firefly. Normally pretty harmless, it would fly around aimlessly... But ocasionally, the lightbulb would flash, and it would be surrounded in light! During this time, if Sonic tried to attack the Badnik, he'd get hurt! Muahaha! Unfortunately, it couldn't keep it on constantly, so, as a result, they were fairly easy to destroy... Created during my attack on Westside Island, placed in the Mystic Cave Zone.

Flybot 767:
This one was probably supposed to be better than it was... When Sonic or anyone tripped the alarm at Launch Base Zone, this would fly down, trying to swoop at them. It was, however, easy to destroy, and had little to no defense. I don't know why I had this one come when the alarm was tripped... Didn't really offer much incentive to NOT trip the alarm. Oh well... Created during the first half of my attack on Angel Island, and I've already said where I placed them.

Grabber:
Muahahaha... I liked this one! It's based off a spider... It would come down, try to grab Sonic or Tails, and then hold them, flashing yellow and red, until it self destructed! Muahaha! This was quite an annoyance for them, I'd imagine... However, if Sonic was captured by one of them, Tails could just free him by destroying the Badnik before it exploded. Another note... The animal powering the Badnik would not survive the self destruct. Don't look at me like that! I'm evil, but not heartless... I just had to make some sacrifices to try to stop Sonic and Tails. Made it during my attack on Westside Island, in the Chemical Plant Zone.

Grounder:
Ah, Grounder... One of my more popular Badniks, for the reason of the TV show, "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog". It warped ME entirely, and the entire story of what happened, but oh well... Grounder was one of the main villains in that show. However, in my real attacks, Grounder was just a normal Badnik... Much like Burrobot, he would sometimes come out of walls in an attempt to hit the hedgehog and fox. He could sometimes surprise them, but if he didn't, it was pretty much all over for him. Another thing, though my REAL Grounder is red, the show portrayed him as blue-ish green-ish turquoise type color! Oh well... It was still a decent show. Anyway, made this during my attack on Westside Island, and put it in the Aquatic Ruin Zone.
